Concern of the United Arab Emirates with the Socotra Archipelago is evidenced by its humanitarian field efforts and its diverse and comprehensive programs for prosperity and development of the Island.
Citizens of Socotra enjoy great attention, as the potentials are harnessed for development and prosperity and keep pace with the times through the implementation of many courses, facilities and foreign scholarships in all fields. Socotra women enjoy great interest as well, as Khalifa Foundation is keen to support women through women’s associations and the women’s sector in the archipelago. Khalifa Foundation has various types of support in order for the Socotra woman to keep pace with the labor market and to work alongside her brother, the man, for the prosperity of the island.
Recently, Khalifa Foundation organized a Mother’s Day party at Ataya Model School, and the ceremony witnessed a large attendance from all regions of the Socotra Archipelago. Through theatrical activities and singing paragraphs, the attendees received many messages that depicted the pioneering role of the mother and her great interest and eagerness to raise her children, embodying her sacrifices and honorable stances. The ceremony also included a large audience who interacted with all the various paragraphs that were displayed under the direct supervision of the teaching staff at Ataya School.
The attendees expressed their happiness for the attendance, as Ms. Laila Mansour praised the elaborate preparation, congratulating all mothers on this joyful and joyful day and expressed the abundance of her feelings, explaining that the mother is a paradise we covet her consent.
