Sultan Ali Issa Al Afrar, Head of the Development Committee, and Mr. Nazim Mubarak bin Qabalan, the Acting Head of the Transitional Council, inaugurated the first phase of the project to extend the villages and areas of Dexam with water by digging artesian wells and constructing tanks to distribute water through the pipeline network, which comes within a series of projects implemented by the UAE The United Arab Emirates, through the Sheikh Khalifa Foundation, to eradicate the water scarcity that the villagers suffer from.

In the opening, Mr. Nazem Mubarak bin Qabalan, Acting Head of the Southern Transitional Council in Socotra, expressed his thanks to the UAE, which contributed to the completion of the first phase of this important project in order to eliminate the water scarcity that the people of the Duxm areas suffer from, and that it is their dependence on the water of open water ponds that depend in Stored on rain water.

Sultan Ali Issa Al Afrar, Head of the Development Committee, stressed that the UAE would always remain a major supporter of development in Socotra, and that the establishment of the water project in the Dexam area was one of the most important projects in the region in order to enhance decent livelihoods in it, which has begun to see the light in light of the continuous support provided by the Emirati charitable hands.

Engineer Abdul Rahman Mohamed, Executive Supervisor of the Dexam Water Line, stated that the tanks that were built hold more than 100,000 liters, and that water is pumped to them with a capacity of 980 meters by means of submersible pumps that operate on the solar energy system as a clean and sustainable system, which was connected to the pipeline that extends for more than 60 meters and extending 6 thousand meters to the city of Al Mazroui, where filling the feeding tank of the distributed tanks takes less than two hours, and the filling period of the distributed tank takes less than 45 minutes.

The chief of the areas of Dexam Yahya Badbeh, said that the inauguration of the Dexum water project, which is a dream that has become a reality, thanks to the UAE support and the continuous directions of the Khalifa Foundation, expressing how happy everyone is with this project, which is a great tributary to the revival of life and urbanization in the Dexam District, extending his thanks and appreciation to the Khalifa Foundation and the female delegates The general affirmed that the Dexam District has enjoyed many large projects, in light of the continuous Emirati support that the island was witnessing.

The inauguration was attended by a number of military and civilian leaders, center identifiers, sheikhs, and a large group of residents of the region.
