Today, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation flew a medical evacuation plane to rescue a number of sick cases from the island of Socotra to the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, to receive the necessary treatment at the expense of Khalifa Foundation.
Khalifa Foundation’s management of a private Jet for medical evacuation came as a result of its constant keenness to provide all urgent care to save the lives of patients who have fallen into a coma.
An official at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital explained that today, 5 incurable cases were evacuated to NMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi, including two infants, one of whom was 4 days old and suffered from blood dehydration, and the other 40 days, and two accident cases of a girl who fell from a car, a young man in a motorcycle accident and a critical case suffering from a brain problem.
The medically equipped evacuation jet was accompanied by a medical team specialized in critical cases and children’s injury to provide the necessary medical care for the cases during the flight to Abu Dhabi.
Where the process of transferring patients for the first time on the island witnessed the use of a medical crane that transferred patients from ambulances to the plane with great medical care that reflected the extent of medical attention provided by Khalifa Foundation to patients on the island and its keenness to implement the latest medical and health procedures to ensure the safety of patients.
The patients’ families expressed their appreciation and thanks for the role of Khalifa Foundation in aiding their cases and saving their lives from the pain they suffer from.
This step, which came within previous and continuous steps of Khalifa Foundation, achieved popular satisfaction on the island, who appreciated the permanent stances of the brothers in the UAE towards the people of the island in various circumstances, especially difficult ones, which represented saving people’s lives from a dangerous health situation and bringing them back to life again, thanks to God.
