The humanitarian teams of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation were making great efforts in providing domestic gas to the people of Socotra and securing their needs for the holy month of Ramadan.
The teams started providing gas cylinders according to the needs of the regions, as a contribution to alleviating the suffering of families who face difficulty in obtaining the material that is lacking in the local market.
The Foundation distributed 130 gas cylinders to the areas of the western coastline to meet the needs of the region’s residents to secure gas during the holy month.
The team’s efforts contributed to providing domestic gas in Socotra and relieving pressure on the island’s vegetation cover, which is subjected to excessive logging for use in the process of lighting a fire.
The people of the western coastline areas valued the keenness of the Foundation and the humanitarian interest in providing the basic requirements for the island’s residents, stressing that the provision of gas is one of the basic services that the population needs, especially with the approaching holy month of Ramadan.
