With instructions of His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Representative of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, a team of doctors from Khalifa Hospital in Socotra in addition to officials and administrators at Khalifa Foundation visited Samha Island in order to provide medical services and in-kind assistance and recognize the most important needs. The medical team coordinated with the medical center to examine 47 cases and vaccinate 89 children starting from 50 days to 15 years old in addition to 65 pregnant women. The team provided the needy patients with medicine.
The administrators of Khalifa Foundation distributed clothes among families in addition to in-kind gifts and kid toys, and checked the needs of the Island for essential facilities such as water.
Salem Saad, one of leaders on the Island, praised the efforts of the United Arab Emirates and their concern with visiting the Island to support the people and improve their quality of life. He also expressed his appreciation to His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei for the continuous instructions relating to development and prosperity in Socotra.
