The cleaning campaign carried out in Muri and the surrounding area of Socotra International Airport has leg positive community feedback in Socotra, as it helped in promotion of cleaning values among different community classes and raising awareness of the proper methods.
Khalifa Foundation asserted the importance of maintenance of environment, as it would reflect civilization of communities and importance of creation of public culture. In addition, it would help in maintenance of beauty and civilized look of cities and villages.
Sheikh Suliman Abdullah Shalolah, Senior Sheikh of Socotra, asserted that the campaign carried out by Khalifa Foundation was great with elevated objectives, which we used to have from the United Arab Emirates making the Socotra International Airport and its surrounding area clean as it would be reflective of Socotra.
Salem Daheq, Member at Development Committee, mentioned that the campaign aimed at removal of tons of waste and garbage in Muri, and highlighted that these intensive campaigns aimed at showing beauty of Muri to its visitors.
Mohamed Al Daximi highlighted that the cleaning campaign in Muri was launched with call from the Development Committee in Socotra and in coordination with leaders of the First Marine Brigade in Socotra and under sponsorship of Khalifa Foundation, which afforded outstanding effort in showing beauty of Socotra.
Mohamed Abdullah commended the outstanding efforts of the people and the humanitarian and charity hand of the United Arab Emirates for the sake of achievement of beautiful Socotra.
In this regard, Jamaan Saad highlighted that these cleaning campaigns would contribute to restoring beauty of Socotra, which was hidden due to plastic waste on plans due to the seasonal winds.
Khalifa Foundation, through such support and supervision, asserted that it always focused on educating and raising awareness of community individuals, which would be considered as a successful step for showing beauty of Socotra in all aspects.
