The Socotra Online was present at Socotra Airport during the medical evacuation process, which was carried out in accordance with international standards to evacuate patients and monitor the attendance’s impression of the UAE efforts and the speed of responding to the call of the patients’ families. Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State and his Crown Prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for their interest in the island and its children and their support for them in various circumstances, especially in saving their illnesses and providing for their treatment in Abu Dhabi hospitals and returning them, thanks to God, to their island in perfect health and wellness.
Sheikh Suleiman Shalulha indicated that the arrival of a private plane today to transport patients with severe cases from the island is part of the cooperation and support that the UAE has provided to the people of Socotra for years, with unlimited medical and humanitarian interest. He noted the role played by the Khalifa Foundation representative on the island in inspecting the needs of the people and his keenness to provide their requirements and alleviate their suffering.
Salem Saleh Al-Hamid, Director of Personnel Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Socotra Hospital, said that on this day, and in the interest of the United Arab Emirates, a private plane was sent to Socotra Airport to transport critical cases of traffic accidents and other incurable diseases from Khalifa bin Zayed Hospital and transfer them to Emirates hospitals until they receive All health care is at the expense of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
Al-Hamid added that the evacuation process has been preceded by several operations in the past, and this indicates the interest of the UAE in the Socotra community in providing aid and assistance to them in various fields, including in the health and medical field.
Muhammad Ali Amer, the uncle of the sick girl, expressed his happiness with the transfer of sick cases, including the case of their child who fell from a car while returning from her school.
Issa bin Sweileh, the father of the child, thanked the UAE for transporting his infant daughter, who had been in the care of Sheikh Khalifa Hospital for more than four days, and she was bleeding after giving birth. Today, thanks to God and Zayed’s good children, a private plane has been sent to Socotra to transport the incurable cases.
Bin Sweileh noted the rapid cooperation of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works and the speedy response to the call of patients’ families and the Socotra community by transferring cases that require high medical care for treatment in the Emirates.
Abdullah Saad, the companion of one of the patients who were transferred to the UAE, expressed his great thanks to protect the good families of Zayed, their elders and their great people for their humanitarian efforts in transporting patients and providing a private plane to Socotra to provide them with medical care inside Abu Dhabi hospitals.
