During the 4th cycle of Nujed Football Championship, which ended on last Thursday, achieved wide positive feedbacks across the Socotra Archipelago, as it worked on achievement of noble objectives in relation with activation of sport in Socotra. In this regard, many local and sport leaders, social leaders and citizens expressed their happiness for success of this championship at all aspects.
Raafat Ali Al Thaqli, Head of Southern Transition Council, expressed his happiness and joy during the final ceremony of 4th Nujed Football Championship. He also asserted that the Championship would be considered as one of the most important championships and an annual tradition that the people would wait for it every year, as it represented a great gathering for people of Socotra. He also commended the outstanding effort in organizing such great championship.
Ahmed Hazoum, President of Football Association Office in Socotra, highlighted that the Championship witnessed unprecedented large number of audience, and included distinguished competition among clubs with high performance.
Saeed Malek, Consultant of Sport at Khalifa Foundation, mentioned that the Championship would be considered as a distinguished football event to be held annually, and would be considered as an achievement by Khalifa Foundation. He also thanked the Foundation and Football Association teams for the perfect coordination.
Sheikh Sulaif Abbas, one of sheikhs in Nujed, expressed his happiness and joy for hosting this Championship in Nujed that would aim at having sport-loving generation. He also highlighted that there had been outstanding effort by all clubs participating in the Championship and the ones in the final showing great spirit of competition.
Captain Mohamed Saleh, Coach of Socotra public team, expressed his thanks to Khalifa Foundation and its representatives for the outstanding effort in organizing such Championship, and highlighted that this effort would result in improvement of sport in Socotra.
Furthermore, Ibrahim Hamodi, Assistant Coach of Al Nassr Club, commended the effort in producing such distinguished Championship and preparations of all teams to have good competition.
In addition, Citizen AbdelAziz Ahmed expressed his honor for attending the final match of Nujed Football Championship, which was organized by the Football Association with support of Khalifa Foundation, and highlighted that the same would improve sports in Socotra. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the officials responsible for the sport file at Khalifa Foundation.
