United Arab Emirates represented by it charity foundation, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, revived Qalansiyah Bridge after years of suffering, since it was considered as the main link between Qalansiyah and other districts and cities in Socotra.
The people expressed their joy and happiness for such effort as it was a risk to pass through it.
Socotra Online reflected the opinion of the people in Qalansiyah after construction of this vital and important bridge by Khalifa Foundation. Colonel Staff Saleh Al Humaimi, chief of Qalansiyah troop, said that the most of the bridge was damaged due to Chaballa and Meg cyclone three years ago, which caused terrific accidents for the people of Qalansiyah.
Engineer Adnan, Official of Emergency Department in Power Station in Qalansiyah, mentioned that this humanitarian activities was not new, since Khalifa Foundation used to help the people. Furthermore, he expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for support in different fields.
Saad Essa, one of citizens, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for its humanitarian activities, which were very important to the people of Qalansiyah.
Omar Saad, one of citizens and owner of motorcycle, said that he was afraid while passing through the bridge. He also thanked Khalifa Foundation for such support.
