Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation keeps provision of support to electricity sector in Socotra Island, as it works on instructing and directing emergency teams of Dexim Power in Qalansiyah station to provide uninterrupted electricity to the people of Qalansiyah with a rush hour amounted 46km/ hour.
Engineer Adnan Ali, Official-in-charge of Qalansiyah Power Station, said to Socotra Online that they receive daily reports on interruption of electricity due to the seasonal wind. He added that the concerned teams are working on maintaining network through quick response in line with arrangement of uninterrupted electricity to the people.
In turn, the people of Qalansiyah welcomed the role of the field team of Qalansiyah Power Station, and praised the outstanding support of Khalifa Foundation and the United Arab Emirates.
It is worth noting that Khalifa Foundation replaced the high voltage overhead network with new underground cable network to avoid weather imapcts.
