The United Arab Emirates contributed to elimination of unemployment in the Socotra Archipelago by providing job opportunities for the young men in many governmental centers after suspension of employment in civil sector on the Island since 2014.
The United Arab Emirates worked on providing the young men and women with job opportunities in Socotra and its service projects in line with the economy-reviving plan.
Mr. Said Mohamed Taha, young man working in UAE, said to Socotra Online that the United Arab Emirates has been the support to the people of Socotra and it worked on providing job opportunities to the people of Socotra to eliminate unemployment.
Abdullah Ali Abdullah, Civil Defense Team of Khalifa Foundation, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for the great support in the Socotra Archipelago.
Mr. Ali Faisal Al Bosairi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation and the United Arab Emirates for helping the people of Socotra, and said that the United Arab Emirates contributed to contracting with many teachers from Socotra to eliminate unemployment.
It was worth noting that the United Arab Emirates concerned with the Socotra people on its land in line with the historical relationship between the people of UAE and Socotra. In addition, it provided them with comprehensive medical insurance in all hospitals and special education opportunities.
