The UAE oil ship started unloading its cargo of oil and diesel today at Socotra port to meet the requirements of the island and its service sectors of the two materials.
An official source at the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation explained that the ship carried a large amount of petroleum and diesel on board, and it comes as part of the UAE’s efforts to secure oil derivatives for the island during the coming period and eliminate the black market.
The source indicated that the oil quantity is one of the best international specifications in the market, and it is one of the environmentally friendly types, and it will secure the needs of electricity, the service and economic sectors and the movement of vehicles continuously without any fears of interruption.
The UAE had worked during the previous months in providing the island’s requirements of all kinds of oil derivatives and alleviating the suffering of the island and its people in this aspect, and had secured for them the stability of the service and vital sectors.
The people of Socotra appreciated the keenness of the brothers in the UAE to provide the island’s basic needs, including oil derivatives, which the island has suffered from continuously in previous periods… stressing that the arrival of the UAE ship created popular reassurance with the availability of oil derivatives.
