The United Arab Emirates, through its charitable hands, contributed to the support of the Socotra Archipelago in various service, development and humanitarian sectors, which contributed to bringing the island out of its isolation and openness to the outside world.
The archipelago witnessed a qualitative leap in light of the service and humanitarian projects provided by the Emirates Red Crescent and the Khalifa Foundation in various civil, security and military sectors.
The people of Socotra commended the great Emirati support provided by Emirati benefactors in the rehabilitation and restoration of Socotra International Airport, as well as the expansion of the berth of the port to facilitate the process of unloading and charging, building power stations, replacing the electric air network with a modern and advanced ground system, and supporting the education sector by building schools, adding classes and supporting colleges besides Supporting various service offices and providing humanitarian aid and assistance to all families in the archipelago through the distribution of food baskets and others.
The people extend their thanks to the UAE and its rulers through their continuous standing in light of the difficult conditions that Yemen is witnessing.
The Emirati support comes within the noble humanitarian positions carried out by the Emirati charitable hands in various countries in general and Yemen in particular, given the historical, family and social relationship that binds the people of Socotra to the UAE since ancient times throughout the ages.
