Yesterday during the first of Ramadan, Khalifa Foundation launched distribution of financial assistance to mosques to prepare Iftar for the fasting people.
An official at Khalifa Foundation highlighted that Khalifa Foundation is concerned with implementation of this initiative to cover all mosques across the Island aiming at preparation of Iftar meals for the fasting people daily.
He also added that teams of Khalifa Foundation were present in streets across Socotra to deliver financial assistance to the people in-charge of mosques to commence preparation of meals.
In turn, Imams of mosques and people of Socotra expressed their appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for such provision of daily healthy meals for large number of fasting people.
It was worth noting that Khalifa Foundation provided mosques across Socotra with new Quran and interpretation books as preparation for Ramadan.
Furthermore, as a humanitarian gesture, Khalifa Foundation launched distribution of financial assistance to the retired civil people in Socotra in line with concern of Khalifa Foundation with helping people of Socotra to mitigate their suffering.
