The UAE charity hands represented in the Emirates Red Crescent and Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation under supervision of His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Representative of Khalifa Foundation, contributed to completing the year of tolerance, in which they provided support and help. They provided group of vital, service and health projects in addition to assistance to the people during the hard conditions in the Archipelago.
They started 2020 with new and continuous plans and strategies providing group of new vital projects and completing work in order to improve the quality of life.
Mr. Ali Al Busairi, Rapporteur of Development Committee of Khalifa Foundation, said that these UAE hands were the support to the people of Socotra and highlighted that the United Arab Emirates has not left the Socotra Archipelago during the hard conditions. The United Arab Emirates supported the electricity sector in the Governorate, expanded the medical center that provide medical services to the people of Socotra, and adopted many vital and service projects in different sectors such as education, youth and sports, roads, fisheries, and expansion of Socotra Port.
Mr. Essa bin Hamdon, Principal of Qalansiyah Secondary School, highlighted the concern of Representative of Khalifa Foundation, His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, the man of development and construction as named by the people of Socotra. He also highlighted the continuous presence for meeting the needs of the people of Socotra.
He said that the people of Socotra return loyalty and love to the United Arab Emirates for the humanitarian and developmental activities provided to the people of Socotra.
