In line with the continuous humanitarian support by Khalifa Foundation to people of Socotra, Khalifa Foundation provided 447 families in 9 districts along the western coastline in Socotra with various food necessities.
This UAE assistance was in line with the humanitarian initiatives during Ramadan to meet needs of hundreds of the needy. Assistance included rice, flour, oil, dates, tea, and sugar.
People of these districts expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this UAE humanitarian assistance. Sheikh Hamoud Omar Ali, Sheikh of Musaqbhen, expressed his gratitude to the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation for provision of such relief to people of Socotra.
Sheikh Saeed Suliman bin Qateen asserted that people of these districts expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the United Arab Emirates, Khalifa Foundation and field teams for the great effort during Ramadan and high temperature.
Akram Ahmed Khamis mentioned that people of these districts were relaxed upon knowing arrival of this assistance, and thanked the United Arab Emirates and Khalifa Foundation.
Saleh Ahmed Abdullah mentioned that this assistance was in line with brotherhood and deep relationship between the UAE and Socotra.
