The effects of the tropical cyclone Kyarr started this morning after declining the rate of the tropical cyclone from the 5th grade to deep tropical cyclone.
Most of districts in the Socotra Archipelago witnessed separate heavy and medium rains with possibility of more rains.
During our walking to Qalansiyah, we met Captain Jameel Ahmed Abla, Head of Qalansiyah Fishermen Association, who assured that the sea was not stable and it would be better to avoid it, as the wind might exceed 20 knots on beaches.
Furthermore, we met Ahmed Salem Al Jadmahi, Doctor Assistant in Qalansiyah Hospital, who acquainted us with the measures taken by the medical teams in the Hospital since yesterday to be ready for any emergency. He assured that no cases resulting from the cyclone, which meant that the tropical cyclone was not as strong as expected.
