The UAE Ship “AD ASTRA” anchored in the Socotra Port today to discharge its load of humanitarian assistance for the people of Socotra. An official at Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation mentioned to Socotra Online that the load of the ship contained diesel for power stations in Socotra and homes gas in addition to large amount of foodstuff and various equipment to support the service and vital projects for promotion of development in Socotra. He highlighted that this support was in line with the efforts of Khalifa Foundation in development and promotion of service and life stability in Socotra in addition to preservation of its unique plants coverage. In this regard, the people of Socotra expressed their happiness for the ship arrival and anchoring and expressed their appreciation to Khalifa Foundation, leader of humanitarian and charitable activities in Socotra, for its care for necessary requirements for the people of Socotra in different cities and districts.
