The brothers in the United Arab Emirates, through its charity hands, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, restored the social and economic life in the Socotra archipelago to its normal state after its tremendous efforts and its diversified support in various fields of life, including oil derivatives that have been absent from the local market for nearly a month, and domestic gas cylinders.
The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation was keen to quickly respond to the calls of the people of Socotra to provide petroleum, which the people of the island suffered from, and the social movement was stopped, and the economic movement during it in the markets decreased remarkably in the same period.
The UAE’s accelerating role was pivotal in saving the people of the island from the oil crisis and helped them in their transportation to and from their areas and created a state of reassurance among the residents after they were worried after the inherent stone-like situation among the evidence of the crisis breaking out, the public and main streets are crowded with vehicles moving in all directions, and the situation in the markets has returned to its normal state and life has returned again after stopping.
As part of its humanitarian and relief work, the brothers in the United Arab Emirates distributed food aid to the residents of the Socotra archipelago throughout the regions of Socotra. This relief aid included flour, rice, dates, oil and sugar, in addition to salt, tea and other necessary items.
The efforts of the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation and its field teams continued in providing services to the people of the archipelago and facilitating a decent livelihood for them.
The people of Socotra, who filled their faces with joy, expressed their great thanks and gratitude to the brothers in the United Arab Emirates and to the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation and its humanitarian field teams that write a humanitarian epic in the Socotra Archipelago that generations will continue to witness.
