Yesterday evening, at the Grand Mosque in Hadiboh, the second phase of the second Holy Quran competition, organized by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, began.
The current stage of the competition, which continues until the 15th of Ramadan, in which 70 male and female contestants compete, is witnessing a strong competition in its five categories to qualify for the third stage of the competition and approach the first places.
Sheikh Rashid Abbas, the competition coordinator, said that today we have reached the second stage of the competition, and there is great competition between memorizers and memorizers of the Holy Quran to reach the advanced stages of the competition.
He pointed out that the participants from different regions of the island presented a fragrant recitation and advanced levels in which the competition intensified to qualify for the next stage.
Sheikh Abdul Latif Mubarak Majed, Member of the judging committee, said, “On this day, we witnessed a great turnout of male and female contestants in the five categories, and their recitation was fragrant and their voices were distinctive to compete for the first place.”
In advance, he thanks the Khalifa Foundation for supporting this religious competition that encourages young people to memorize the Holy Quran.
The contestant, Saeed Ahmed Saeed, expressed his pleasure in holding the competition, participating in it, and participating in the competition while preserving the Holy Quran. He pointed out that such competitions are working to create a young generation that has preserved the Holy Book, praising the efforts of the Khalifa Foundation and the organizers of the competition and their keenness to produce it in a good way.
