The Emirati humanitarian ship “TAKREEM” began unloading its cargo today in the port of Socotra, which contained various humanitarian aids for the people of the archipelago.
An official source told Socotra Online that the ship carried a variety of foodstuffs and oil derivatives from gas to cover the requirements of the local market, as well as the requirements of development projects and service and vital institutions that the Foundation is working to operate and support on the island.
He indicated that this support came within the framework of the Foundation’s efforts to develop Socotra, and this would enhance its stability in terms of services and living, and would advance its reality for the better.
The arrival of the ship to the island was a source of happiness for the people of the island, as it brings them good omens in moving the wheel of development and providing their various life requirements.
The people of Socotra praised the humanitarian and service role provided by the UAE, represented by its humanitarian institutions, in various circumstances, to alleviate their suffering in many aspects.
