The Football Association Office in Socotra Governorate today handed over the sports suits, shoes and socks to the clubs in the governorate, provided by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
18 clubs in Socotra received various sports supplies, including sets of clothes, shoes, socks and gloves for the guards.
Ahmed Hazoom, Head of the Football Association Office, explained that these distributions come within the support plan provided by Khalifa Foundation to the sports and youth sector in the governorate, as well as to enhance the level of its readiness to participate in competitions in the sixth Sheikh Zayed Football Championship, which begins on the 21st of this month at Rabdan Sports and Cultural Stadium.
Hazoom expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Khalifa Foundation for the interest and support it provided to the youth sector through the continuation of sports activities and providing the clubs with their various requirements.
For his part, President of El Mina Club Abdel Wahab Al Anbari indicated that the delivery of these sports supplies was important in showing the clubs in a distinctive way and contributed to motivating the teams to provide better levels in addition to the assistance it provided to the clubs in not bearing the costs of buying them from the local markets.
Al-Anbari valued the continuous support of the Khalifa Foundation for the sports sector, which had a clear impact on preserving young people and improving their abilities.
Ali Abdullah Saad, President of Dam Al Akhawin Club, expressed his great thanks to the brothers in the UAE for the support he provided to the clubs, which reflected positively on the youth and the development of the sports sector and its continuous activity.
Saleh Yaslam Faris, President of Radfan Club, said, “Today we received the sports supplies provided by the Khalifa Sports Clubs Foundation, and this came as a continuation of its support and giving to the sports sector, which witnessed a remarkable development in light of the interest it provided.” He noted the efforts made by the UAE, represented by the Khalifa Foundation, in developing the sports sector, maintaining the continuity of its activity in various tournaments, and creating a distinguished sports diversity at the level of the archipelago.
