The Emirates Red Crescent continued distributing Eid sacrifices to the residents of the Socotra Archipelago along with the charitable and humanitarian projects provided by the Emirates Red Crescent to the people of Socotra in order to help them in having a decent livelihood.
The efforts of the Emirates Red Crescent came as an extension of the initiatives that it has been providing since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, and its great role in addressing the pandemic, strengthening preventive and precautionary measures issued by the rational leadership of the UAE.
The Emirates Red Crescent pays great attention to its programs and initiatives to alleviate human suffering, and in this direction comes its interest in the sacrifice project, which is implemented annually by the Emirates Red Crescent, as part of its seasonal projects to provide the needs of needy families and those in need of sacrifice, and to bring joy and pleasure to their hearts during the blessed days of Eid.
Sheikh Muslim Saad, Chief of Ras Quttainan, noted that the Emirates Red Crescent had great credit for making many families happy with the sacrifices they offered in light of the difficult economic conditions that families suffer from. He also explained that the sacrifices came as an honor to the Emirates Red Crescent, which contributed to solving the suffering of many families.
Professor Saad Othman said that the sacrifices offered by the United Arab Emirates through the Red Crescent to families in Socotra has emerged within the series of giving to Socotra, stressing that the UAE has become a beacon of giving and benevolence in Socotra through the support it provides to the people of Socotra. These sacrifices are nothing but a point in a sea of offerings that Socotra residents benefited from in all aspects of life.
Rashid Abbas explained that the Emirates Red Crescent distributed Eid sacrifices to thousands of Socotra families, sensing the moral, humanitarian and religious duty to which the Emirates of goodness is committed towards the peoples, including Socotra, which enjoys goodness by the brothers in the Emirates who consider the true bond of Socotra.
The sacrifice project implemented by the UAE, land of charity, this year comes in exceptional health, economic and social conditions, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its global repercussions. It sought to attract more supporters, donors and supporters, and to expand the umbrella of its beneficiaries.
