Al-Jazira ascended to the golden square of the Fifth Edition of Sheikh Zayed Football Championship when luck smiled on it in the draw that was held for it with Al Nasr to determine the qualifier after they tied in the original time with a score of one goal and tied them in the penalty shootout after completing the execution of all the strikes.

The match witnessed Al Nasr club pressure in the first minutes on Al Jazira goal, during which he managed to obtain a penalty, but Al Jazira goalkeeper Abdul Hamid Mohamed had the word to block it and prevented Al Nasr striker Rushdi Hadid from making progress for his team, but the victory attempts continued until the 30th minute, which carried the first goal of Al-Nassr through His player, Ali Hammoudi, ended the first half with Al-Nassr progressing with a goal without a response.

In the second half, the rhythm of the match changed, and Al Jazira moved to return to the match, which was what he got in the 65th minute. The defender Mohamed Saeed advanced to score the goal of victory and restore hope for his team to win and qualify. The two teams’ attempts after that did not result in scoring any goal and the original time ended with a positive tie, goal for goal.

In the penalty shootout, all the players of the two teams successfully hit them, and the draw was finally decided upon, which smiled at Al Jazira to go directly to the semi-finals and bid farewell to the holder of the previous championship copy Al-Nasr the championship.
