The United Arab Emirates terminated selling the petroleum products through black economy, which doubled suffering of people of Socotra during the crisis of lack of petroleum products. In this regard, the people of Socotra commended the role of the United Arab Emirates in relation with provision of petroleum products and termination of selling such products through black economy for exaggerated prices. Sheikh Salem Al Kebani highlighted that the United Arab Emirates revived the markets of Socotra, as the people started to move easily and comfortably after provision of petroleum for transportation means.
Saleh Qasem Naser commended the role of the United Arab Emirates in provision of the petroleum products that have been sold through the black economy for YAR 30,000 or more.
Saad Masoud expressed his happiness for provision of the petroleum products in the United Arab Emirates in the local market.
Furthermore, Mohamed Ali Amer expressed his gratitude for the outstanding effort by the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa Foundation in Socotra, which the people of Socotra used to witness, as the United Arab Emirates was present in different developmental and relief projects.
