Successful Cleaning Campaigns in Socotra by Khalifa Foundation and Positive Reflection on Health and Future of Generations

In line with the fact that “cleaning is a cultural behavior and indicator of awareness improvements”, streets of cities and villages of Socotra witnessed continuous cleaning campaigns aiming at having clean streets in Socotra “Clean Socotra” in cooperation with concerned authorities with support of Khalifa Foundation.

Launch of this cleaning campaign was in line with concerning of Khalifa Foundation with educating the people with the best environment and health practices as well as awareness raising in locations that would be considered as the most important ones on the Island with large activities and turn out. Khalifa Foundation focused on residential and commercial location in the Socotra Archipelago in order to raise health and environment level.

People of Socotra expressed their happiness and gratitude for such successful campaigns with community participation, which was considered as an awareness raising campaign among the people of Socotra in relation with importance of cleaning and beauty of Socotra. There was no doubt that indicators and achievements showed importance of continuation of such campaigns with necessity of support by all community members as well as governmental and community entities in order to achieve objectives.

The cleaning campaign aimed at removal of all accumulated waste and garbage from the listed targeted locations, which were districts and suburbs of the capital and the remaining directorate including governmental and private facilities. Furthermore, the campaign worked on raising awareness of importance of controlling such manners and cooperation to have positive role to overcome this.

People of Socotra expressed their happiness and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation for such achievement, which was largely welcomed by all people across the Socotra Archipelago.

Actually, Socotra was in need for continuation of such campaigns and variety of events targeting specific distinguished locations to have positive feedback and large welcome by people.
