The people of the Socotra Archipelago witness a great spiritual atmosphere during Ramadan through visits that strengthen love and cooperation among the people. The people of Socotra have not been affected by the taken restrictions against the outbreak of the novel coronavirus globally, and they live normally. Socotra Online concerned with documenting life of residents of the Island during Ramadan. They live normally without any barriers.
Furthermore, the other markets witness permanent movement in respect of different foodstuff, especially the ones related to Ramadan reflecting life of the people and their concern with promotion of food.
In relation with religions aspect, mosques in Socotra witness a clear spiritual atmosphere in relation with prayers and religious lessons to have great Ramadan nights.
Socotra Online met group of people of Socotra to recognize their nature of life. Sheikh Mohamed Abdullah Qaihan said that Socotra always receives Ramadan with spiritual atmosphere, love and tolerance. He added that Socotra has great gifts today, as everything is available for the people. In addition, Mr. Abdullah Taher said that Socotra has not been affected by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, and highlighted that lives of the people of Socotra was stable in spite of the several conditions faced in Socotra. He added that no one shall forget the food assistance “Ramadan Merr” supported by Khalifa Foundation to the people of Socotra during Ramadan.
