With the opening of the University of Socotra Archipelago, all the residents of the archipelago rejoiced, and the people of the island breathed a sigh of relief by the presence of an integrated academic university that provides them with a university degree that helps them raise their social level, and helps them get a job appropriate to their educational qualifications, which raises their level of income and enjoys a decent standard of living
Socotra archipelago, like other societies, depends on higher education in order to graduate batches capable of working in various sectors and institutions, and this increases progress and development and makes them compete with everyone.
Studies have proven that university education opens up broad prospects for the individual in the field of work compared to individuals who do not pursue education after secondary school, in other words, the higher the educational level of individuals, the greater their job opportunities.
We must not overlook the role of a university degree in enhancing self-confidence and self-expression. Armed with a university degree, this individual will not only expand his operational horizons, but also expand his awareness and knowledge, which will help him find solutions to problems that can be faced in a smooth, conscious and calm manner. The main objective of the existence of the University of Socotra Archipelago is to prepare young energies with high-level academic preparation and supply the labor market with appropriate human resources, whose responsibility is to develop private and public institutions alike.
It has become certain that development is directly linked to education, and the preparation of a generation of university graduates, a high-quality scientific preparation that can employ its knowledge to solve societal problems, contribute to the development and progress of societies and raise the standard of living of its members, and thus achieve the most important and economic growth in them.
The University of Socotra Archipelago has started with economic majors, and this is evidence that this knowledge economy is linked to the digital world and thus is linked to the globalization economy in an organic way. The student who enters the university for academic educational attainment enters into an organically interconnected cycle. Higher education, i.e. knowledge, does not take place far from the digital world, and therefore is directly linked to other worlds, and this is what is called “globalization”.
