Stemming from the concern for the general health of the Socotri citizen, who was the true nucleus of society, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in Socotra Governorate witnessed during the past year a remarkable development in the medical services provided, which achieved a high level of international standards and quality with the support of the Khalifa Foundation.
The hospital has achieved remarkable growth in achieving its plan, meeting the work needs in various departments, increasing the clinical capacity, in addition to adding new services and departments to improve the quality of the health services provided.
A report issued showed the number of cases benefiting from health, medical and treatment services during the past year, which exceeded 17,000, and the number of surgeries in the hospital reached 3000, while the total dialysis sessions conducted by the dialysis center reached 687 sessions, from which about 17 cases benefited.
The report indicated that the laboratory department conducted more than 82,000 various examinations, while 12,666 cases benefited from CT and X-ray services.
It was worth mentioning that Khalifa Hospital has a major role in receiving and providing medical care to a large number of patients on a daily basis, whether in outpatient clinics that include various specialties or through the emergency department that works around the clock.
