The tribes of Socotra Governorate organized a foot march on the sidelines of the activities of the Fifth Edition of Sheikh Zayed Festival to express their thanks, appreciation and loyalty to the United Arab Emirates for all the interest it offers to the people of the island in various fields of service, vitality, living and entertainment.
In their march, the tribes carried the flags of the UAE and banners of thanks to the UAE, its wise leadership and its delegate on the island for their keenness to support the island with its requirements and standing by it in the various circumstances facing its residents and limiting their suffering and their living situation.
The tribes participated in the activities of the fourth edition of the collective wedding for 200 brides and grooms presented by the Emirates Red Crescent, the conclusion of the Socotra poet competition, the closing performances of the fifth edition of the Sheikh Zayed Festival, and the artistic evening held on the occasion of the fourth edition of the collective wedding.
Jamaan Sioufi, Chief of (K) district in Saadaa Village, said that the people were happy to attend and participate in the Socotra tribes’ foot march to express loyalty and gratitude to the UAE for its humanitarian and development efforts in the Socotra Archipelago.
Pointing out that the UAE was the permanent support that we find on our side in all circumstances and adversities and the first to extend a helping hand to the people of Socotra. He added that the people were happy to say thank you to the UAE for your humanitarian initiatives in Socotra and its children. People thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and all the rulers of the UAE, and its general representative on the island, His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei.
Abd al-Rahman Muhammad al-Shizabi said that the Shezab tribes today participated with the tribes of Socotra in the march of thanks and gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for its humanitarian efforts in Socotra.
The Sheikh of the Souq, Sheikh Gharib Abdullah, said today, we came from every region in order to return loyalty to the UAE for the support and brotherly support it provided to Socotra and its people in all areas of life.
Sheikh Gharib indicated that today, as the sheikhs of the Socotra tribes, we offer our sincere thanks to the UAE and we exchange them for their loyalty and support for us in various circumstances and alleviating the many sufferings facing us.
The Sheikh of the Maanfuh region, Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah bin Toefl, praised the role of the United Arab Emirates for the interest it provided in organizing the annual mass wedding to ease the burdens of young people in these difficult conditions that the country is going through and the high prices.
