Here comes Socotra to life again after the tropical cyclone Bhavan that resulted in heavy rains in Socotra for 6 successive days and damages of public and private properties.
The cyclone caused many damages on the Island including roads such as Aqaba Haibaq, which linked between Hadiboh and some power lines in Hadiboh and Qalansiyah. Khalifa Foundation called for comprehensive emergency in all fields, and sent helicopters to transport patients and people from Socotra Airport to Khalifa Hospital.
Furthermore, Khalifa Foundation instructed Dexim Power with repairing underground and overhead lines in Hadiboh and Qalansiyah that were damaged due to the tropical cyclone Bhavan in order to provide people with electricity around the clock without interruption.
Mr. Zuhair Said Moaz expressed through Socotra Online his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates represented by Khalifa Foundation and Dexim Power.
Mr. Anis Saad Amer expressed his thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for provision of electricity in Hadiboh during the tropical cyclone Bhavan. He assured that the electricity service was working around the clock. He also thanked Khalifa Foundation through Socotra Online for all humanitarian and developmental activities to the people of Socotra in different fields.
