With the aim of paying attention to the basic services of the Socotra citizen, the continuation of the humanitarian and service efforts that the United Arab Emirates provides to the residents of Socotra Governorate on a daily basis to enhance societal stability for the people of the island and contribute to the development and growth of the Archipelago.
The field teams of the UAE humanitarian institutions were affording their continuous efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people of the island by providing their modern life requirements. During the days of Eid Al-Fitr, the teams worked to find household gas and deliver it to various regions and villages… during which the regions of the eastern coast, Maumee and Shebab regions were supplied with their needs of the substance that would suffice them for the coming period.
The UAE role in this aspect represented a great importance in preserving the natural environment of the island and reducing the excessive logging to which the unique vegetation cover is exposed by the residents for use in lighting a cooking fire.
The residents of the East Coast, Maumee and Shezab districts valued the support of the Khalifa Foundation on their side in providing basic services and alleviating their suffering in various fields, stressing that the Khalifa Foundation has a positive impact on improving the standard of living and service conditions for the archipelago in general.
