It is the only domestic gas filling station on the island that works to meet the needs of the residents of Socotra, in addition to its continuation on a daily basis in distributing large quantities through sales outlets and transport trucks to remote areas of the island.
At the beginning of this month, the Fuel Department opened two gas selling points in Hadiboh and Nujed, while work is still underway to open two points in Muri and Qalansiyah, which help provide gas to residents throughout the day.
It was worth noting that the UAE’s oil derivatives stations in Socotra were the only ones that provide the governorate with its need of oil permanently, and it has worked to secure it in various circumstances and end the recurring crises that were facing the archipelago, and also contributed to stabilizing the activity of the service and economic sectors in the archipelago.
