The visiting audience of Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival were surprised and excited while watching dances and songs of the Socotra bands, as they performed great artistic performances on different stages in the festival.
The participating bands were the perfect representatives of the Socotra Archipelago through their elevated and outstanding artistic performance. This was largely welcomed and became a strong competitor against the other participating bands. In addition, the Socotra bands had the superior in respect of heritage value, since it was distinguished from the other forms of art.
Socotra dances tended to be slow dancing in respect of moves, as each movement needed more than 5 seconds at least, and it was a team dancing unlike other dancers from other cultures. Therefore, the Socotra heritage was largely welcomed and proved its success, since it expressed heritage in every detail.
