Students started their first academic year at the University of Socotra Archipelago for the year 2021-2022, the first batch
In the College of Computer and Information, which includes two majors in Information Technology and Information Systems, and the College of Management and Economics, which includes two majors, Business Administration and Business Economics.
About 100 male and female students have joined the university this year, and admission is still open for high school students, including graduates of the previous academic year 2020-2021.
The university was accredited after obtaining the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, Technical Education and Vocational Training No. 5 as one of the private universities in Yemen and the first in Socotra, and its curricula and study plans were approved by the ministry.
The university presidency has been keen to equip the building with all modern educational and administrative equipment and to select a teaching and administrative staff of the best cadres for PhD and master’s holders.
In its establishment, the university presidency aims to create an educated, academically educated generation that serves the island and helps in its development, and the university is currently creating international and regional partnerships and global accreditations for more specializations.
The university hopes for this academic year more excellence, success and development for all.
