The Socotra Archipelago Institute of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Hadiboh concluded today a training course in the periodic maintenance of vehicles (cars).
The course, which lasted for two weeks, with the participation of 20 trainees, aimed to familiarize the participants with the different vehicle systems and diagnose their malfunctions.
At the end of the course, Dr. Adel Al-Areeqi explained that the course was the first of its kind on the island and the first for the institute, which would officially open its doors during the next academic year 2022-2023.
Al-Areeqi indicated that the course witnessed a turnout and commitment from the participants and their keenness to benefit as much as possible to reflect this on their professional activity after the course.
The course dealt with both theoretical and practical aspects, including occupational safety, familiarization with electrical measuring devices and devices used in maintenance, and periodic maintenance of the various systems in cars such as lubrication, cooling, fuel, brakes, steering, electrical, and diagnosing system malfunctions.
The participants emphasized that the course provided them with scientific information and knowledge on how to periodically maintain vehicles, and enabled them to master this aspect after applying it to reality.
We appreciate the efforts and endeavors of our brothers in the UAE in establishing this technical and vocational institute, which is the first in the archipelago, which contributes to scientific and cognitive development and encourages young people to obtain technical and vocational education that helps them open their own projects and supply the labor market with the best technical skills.
