Sheikhs, leaders and people of Socotra commended the UAE strategic projects for development of Socotra, which was expressed by the people in the meeting held by the Development Committee of Khalifa Foundation in headquarters of Sultan Ali Essa bin Afrar in order to discuss methods of collaboration and unity to develop Socotra.
During the meeting, Engineer Raafat Ali Ibrahim Al Theqali, Head of Southern Transitional Council, that Khalifa Foundation has made many strategic project for development of Socotra in different aspects. He also commended support of Khalifa Foundation to people of Socotra including electricity, health and education.
Dr. Salem bin Arhama, called all sheikhs and leaders of Socotra for collaboration and maintenance of interests of people and avoiding listening to rumors that would destruct Socotra. He also asserted that the United Arab Emirates always supported the people of Socotra through developmental, service and humanitarian projects through its humanitarian hands, Khalifa Foundation and Emirates Red Crescent.
