The city of Sheikh Zayed 1 in the Seteroh area, south of Socotra, is witnessing the stability of the water service in light of the generous support provided by the United Arab Emirates to the city and its residents and providing their life requirements, especially the basic ones.
The water project continues to pump on a daily basis, which works to meet the needs of the housing units of pure water that is sufficient for the uses of families.
The water project, which was implemented with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, consists of 3 artesian wells, a solar energy system, an electricity generator, a large tank with a capacity of 50,000 liters, two tanks with a capacity of 3000 gallons near the city, and a pipeline network extending 3 and a half kilometers from the well to the city .
The process of pumping water goes through stages, starting with pumping from the well to the large tank with a capacity of 50 thousand liters, which in turn distributes the amount of water to the two tanks near the city and some of them to the residential units.
The water project is one of the vital projects that Sheikh Zayed City 1 has received with the support of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and is of great importance in ending the problem of water leaking from wells around the area, which has exhausted the people in obtaining less than they need of water.
The water project in Sheikh Zayed City 1 was opened in the year 2018, amid the great joy of the people of the city, as the project represents the restoration of hope for a decent life, in which the most important services are provided, foremost of which is water.
