The mobile clinic team at Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in Socotra, in coordination with the Air Rescue Unit, continued its medical transfers to villages and remote areas on the island.
Yesterday, Sunday, the team arrived by helicopter to the Hamhel area, east of Socotra, to conduct medical examinations for its residents, including children, the elderly, and women.
Dr. Akram Abdullah Ahmed, the official of the medical team of the clinic, explained that the arrival of the clinic team today to Hamheel area comes within the framework of its medical plan to visit various remote areas and villages and inspect the cases there. During which a number of cases of chronic stress that did not use treatment before and were given treatment. Other cases were also referred for follow-up to the hospital in Hadiboh.
He pointed out that the Hamheel area is one of the areas where medical services are lacking and needs attention and care in this field, and in our role at Khalifa Hospital, we were always keen to reach the area and other remote areas to provide medical services to its residents and alleviate the pain they suffer from.
For his part, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Ali, the Sheikh of Hamheel, praised this humanitarian gesture for Sheikh Khalifa Hospital to reach the area and conduct medical examinations for citizens, especially the elderly and children who are difficult to move to Hadiboh City. He said that the organization of Sheikh Khalifa Hospital for the mobile clinic for remote areas where medical services are lacking is a step. Citizen Saleh Omar expressed his great happiness for the arrival of the medical team from Khalifa Hospital to examine cases, discover diseased cases, and dispense various medications according to each case.
