Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital in Socotra continues to provide High-end Medical Services

Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Socotra Hospital continued to provide the finest medical services to the island’s residents in its various diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical departments.

Where the hospital ended the suffering of the former islanders to move outside their island due to the lack of qualified cadres and modern equipment that would help in reaching a proper diagnosis and treatment.

The hospital, which was established with the support of Khalifa Foundation and opened in 2012, was of great importance to the archipelago as it is the first medical edifice for the residents of Socotra Governorate. From this point of view, Khalifa Foundation sought to expand the hospital in stages and open new departments, the first on the island, with the provision of the latest equipment and qualified medical and technical staff among these departments are the CT scan department, hemodialysis department, the intensive care department, the maternity department, as well as the emergency department, which have been developed and expanded to operate over a period of 24 hours with a specialized medical staff and staff.

The Director of Personnel Affairs at the hospital, Salem Saleh Al-Hamid, said that since the opening of the hospital on December 02, 2012, it has been seeking to provide high-end medical services to the Socotra community, which has sensed this service, which has greatly reduced the burden of treatment outside the island.

Al-Hamid extended his thanks and appreciation on his behalf and on behalf of his colleagues to the United Arab Emirates and to Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for the unlimited support they provide to the hospital, which is the mother and reference hospital for the governorate.

Dr. Akram Al-Sharabi, an intensive care specialist, explained that Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Socotra Hospital witnessed the opening of the care department in accordance with international standards for intensive care and the provision of moving beds, artificial respirators, and other advanced modern devices, the first in Yemen.

Ammar Yahya, the immunization supervisor, indicated that the United Arab Emirates has made great efforts in building the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Socotra Hospital, expanding it, equipping it and providing its needs from specialized departments and providing it with equipment, medical devices, medicines and medical solutions, as well as the medical and technical staff to provide health care to the people of Socotra Island.

Dr. Ayman Al-Ghurabi, the emergency physician, confirmed that Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital witnessed a qualitative leap and great interest that culminated in the opening of specialized departments, including the emergency department, which received great support in equipping it with the latest international standards and providing the department with modern medical equipment in order to facilitate the reception and presentation of emergency cases in the department.
