Socotra has witnessed a revival of tourism from different countries across the world to enjoy weather and unique biodiversity of Socotra. The Island welcomes weekly tourism groups through direct international flight from the United Arab Emirates, which reflects security and stability in Socotra.
Role of the UAE was clear, as it helped in promotion of tourism in Socotra through dedicating direct regular flights from Abu Dhabi to the Island.
Revival of tourism in Socotra contributed to creation of hundreds of job opportunities in tourist sites and transportation. It also attained income for the surrounding communities through selling manufactured and natural products to tourists.
Tours for tourist groups include visiting tourism locations and marine reserves in Socotra to enjoy the outstanding landscape.
Owner of Dexam highlighted that regular flights between Abu Dhabi and Socotra would promote situation and life quality in Socotra, as many people would benefit from this.
Dar Ali Khamis, one of workers with tourists group, expressed his happiness for revival of tourism in Socotra and highlighted that this would contribute to creation of job opportunities for many youngmen.
