Rescue teams of Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation reopened Daihamed road, which was blocked due to the tropical cyclone Kyarr today.
The road was considered as a main link between the western and southern areas to reach to Hadiboh, and its blockage would be reflected on the movement of citizens.
Official at Khalifa Foundation said that the quick reopening of the road reflected the readiness of the teams of Khalifa Foundation to face any issues that might result from the tropical cyclone Kyarr in different areas helping the people of the Island.
In this regard, the people of the western area thanked Khalifa Foundation for the quick intervention to reopen the road and help the people to go to and return from the capital Hadiboh. This was one of the works that the people of Socotra used to from the United Arab Emirates.
Khalifa Foundation worked on preparing its teams in different aspects and announced the numbers of emergency to report for quick response.
