The Emirates Red Crescent organized the second phase of the collective weddings for 2200 young men and women in 11 governorates in Yemen during the current year with the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces.
Khalifa Foundation would sponsor all requirements and needs for the wedding including home furniture and everything that may achieve the social and humanitarian objectives of this initiative.
The Emirates Red Crescent organized the first collective wedding in Socotra including 300 wedding couples with the presence of delegation from the Foundation supervising on the ceremony and arrangements in addition to group of local officials in the Socotra Archipelago.
Dr. Mohamed Atiq Al Falahi, Secretary General of the Emirates Red Crescent assured that the collective wedding was one of the humanitarian and social initiatives by the United Arab Emirates in Yemen with instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces. Al Falahi assured that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan kept acquainted with all humanitarian situations in Yemen and followed up the initiatives and campaigns of the aid organizations there.
