On Thursday morning, April 23, 2020, Khalifa Foundation sent food assistance vehicles to 14 October district, which was one of the biggest districts in Hadiboh.
The number of families benefiting of this food assistance vehicles reached to 854 families. The food assistance vehicles included different kinds of food, which the field teams of Khalifa Foundation worked on unloading them and delivering to the leaders of the district to be distributed among the people.
Sheikh Mubarak Balaok said that these food assistance vehicles arrived in time, and assured that the role of the United Arab Emirates in Socotra has lasted for years, as it was the support for the people of Socotra in different fields.
Saad Ahmed Al Haimidi, leader of one of the blocks in 14 October district, said that this humanitarian assistance was not the first to be provided by Khalifa Foundation to Hadiboh, especially 14 October district.
Said Bahshon, media activist and resident, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Khalifa Foundation and the officials for their care for delivering and supervising the operations.
Ramadan Merr initiative targeted all districts and families in Socotra that were launched by the UAE hands of charity in the Archipelago.
