Radfan Sports Club won the Bu Mubarak volleyball championship for Socotra clubs, organized by the Volleyball Association in Socotra with the support of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
This came after its victory over Al-Wasl Club in two rounds on Friday evening in the final match that brought them together at Sheikh Zayed Corniche Stadium in Hadiboh.
At the coronation ceremony, which was attended by Sultan Ali bin Issa bin Afrar, the Head of the Development Committee, the first representative of the governorate, Raed Al-Juraibi, stressed the importance of the tournament and its active role in spreading the game and encouraging young people to practice volleyball constantly, which is considered one of the most important sports in the world, pointing out that the championship achieved Distinguished success thanks to God, then the efforts of those in charge of the federation, the support of the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation and the directives of its general delegates.
Al-Juraibi congratulated Radfan FC on its victory and crowning the championship, as well as the runners-up Al-Wasl club.
Ahmed Hazoum, Head of the Association, had welcomed all the attendees at the ceremony crowning the champions of the Bu Mubarak Volleyball Championship.. He indicated that the tournament lasted for nearly a month with the participation of all clubs, as it witnessed a great competition.
Hazoum congratulated Radfan Club for the championship and for Al Wasl, the runners-up, after the great efforts and level they made during the tournament.
He valued the support packages of the Khalifa Foundation for the sports sector and sponsorship of various sporting events in football, volleyball and ironman, which will be organized next Friday with the participation of all clubs.
In addition, Al-Juraibi, Bin Afrar and Hazoum honored Radfan Club with gold medals and the championship cup, and Al-Wasl Club with silver medals and a runner-up cup.

The tournament was launched on November 30, and the governorate’s 18 clubs participated in it, aiming to activate the sport of volleyball and encourage the clubs to continue various sports activities.
The coronation ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Football Association branch, a number of general managers of executive offices, leaders of sports clubs, sheikhs, dignitaries, social figures and a large crowd of fans.
