The matches of the Fifth Edition of Sheikh Zayed Football Championship continued in a competitive atmosphere and excitement and in the presence of large fans of football, where the Al Nasr Team, the holder of the title of the last version, met with Radfan team at the start of the championship, and Radfan managed to attack the title holder and won against it by four goals to two goals. The match witnessed inaugural beautiful competitive sports atmosphere and a large official and public attendance that reflected the importance of the championship to everyone and its role in revitalizing the sports movement and refining and developing the capabilities of the youth on the island.
In the second match of the first group, Al Najm Al Saheli defeated Dam Al Akhawaen today with four clean goals. The match started in a great competitive spirit from the two clubs before Al Najm Al Saheli dominated the game and crowned its efforts with the first goal in the 36th minute through its player Younis Issa Noah to end the first half with the progress of the star with a goal.
In the second half, Dam Al-Akhawayn entered the match with a great spirit to equalize the result before colliding with his opponent scoring the second goal in the 51st minute by his striker Khaled Abdellah, who added the third goal in the 61st minute from a penalty kick after the defender of Dam Al-Akhawayn touched the ball with his hand to block an organized attack by Al Najm Al Saheli.
The match was attended by the Secretary-General of Ahmed Hazoum, the Football Association in Socotra; Selmi Salem; a member of the Football Association; and a number of sports leaders in the governorate.
