Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in the capital of Socotra, Hadiboh, receives hundreds of patients and visitors to different departments and outpatients daily.
The Hospital was considered as the main hospital to the people of Socotra “100,000 population”, as it provided several health and medical services. It was configured with number of medical and health devices and equipment. It was opened in 2013 in line with several developmental projects. Over years, several departments were opened at the Hospital to serve people of Socotra and end their suffering, as they would not have to travel to be treated.
Through the generous support by Khalifa Foundation, the Hospital worked on providing all possible services to patients of Socotra.
Dr. Nazeer Rajeh, Oral and Dental Surgeon, mentioned that the Hospital included all departments that would help people of Socotra. He also thanked Khalifa Foundation for the continuous support to medical sector on the Island.
In turn, Haneen Jameel, one of employees of Ophthalmology Department, mentioned that the Department received tens of patients daily, as they were examined and given the necessary medicine. Furthermore, Yahia Mohamed said that the medical services provided by Khalifa Foundation would not be the last, as the Island used to witness generous support by UAE through its humanitarian arm “Khalifa Foundation”.
