Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation continued its humanitarian efforts in Socotra by providing potable water to more than 136 districts that suffered from lack of water in different locations across Socotra.
This initiative was in line with continuation of Suqia Campaign that was launched by Khalifa Foundation to provide potable water to the people of districts that suffered from lack of water due to late rainfall.
In addition, Khalifa Foundation has been carrying out drilling wells in different locations across Socotra and supporting them with solar-powered pumps and water tanks. It would contribute to helping the people in different remote places across the Island.
People of Socotra expressed their thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates for provision of water tanks through Suqia Campaign in various places across the Socotra Archipelago.
Khalifa Foundation used to send water tanks and various teams to villages and districts across the Socotra Archipelago through rough roads to reach to remote areas to provide the people with the necessary amount of potable water.
