There is no doubt that concerning with children is very important as they are the youth of future. Therefore, they should guarantee their rights for better life. While may children around the world suffer from serious problems due to poverty, work at very young age or violence, children in Socotra have been under concern of UAE in all aspects.
UNICEF has concerned with rights of children around the world and attempted to open opportunities for better life.
In extent of the fact that children need more love, understanding, caring and security to be protected from being deprived, Khalifa Foundation provided children with support to guarantee right of children to receive free education. Khalifa Foundation contributed to building and refurbishment of schools across Socotra. The Foundation concerned with providing proper educational environment through arrangement of teachers, schoolbooks, furniture and stationary. In addition, Khalifa Foundation used to honor the distinguished students from all schools across Socotra.
In line with the concern with children in Socotra, UAE established Ataya Model School in Hadiboh, which is considered as the first model school in Socotra with support by the Emirates Red Crescent. People of Socotra commended such effort by the Emirates Red Crescent.
Over years, Khalifa Foundation concerned with students of Socotra, as many batches were graduated from Socotra Institute for Training and Consultation in addition to scholarships to Egypt to join the university.
There is no doubt that Khalifa Foundation affords all possible efforts to make people of Socotra, especially children happy, as they are the core of bright and better future.
