In an honorable humanitarian situation, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation flew today a medical evacuation plane to rescue two families who had a terrible traffic accident on the island on the second day of Eid Al-Adha for treatment in the United Arab Emirates at expense of the Foundation.
The speedy operation of a private medical evacuation plane comes under the guidance and follow-up of the General Representative of Khalifa Foundation on the island, His Excellency Khalfan Al Mazrouei, to save the lives of the two families from the critical injuries they suffer from the accident. 5 children, 2 women and 2 men, including 2 women and a man, have been in a coma since the accident.
The medically equipped private plane was accompanied by a medical team specialized in critical cases and children’s injuries to provide the necessary medical care for the cases during the flight to Abu Dhabi.
The families of the two families expressed their high appreciation for the role of the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation in helping their children and saving their lives as a result of the tragic accident they witnessed while on an Eid trip for their families east of the capital, Hadiboh.
This humanitarian step left a popular relief on the island, as the people of Socotra commended the permanent initiatives of the brothers in the UAE towards the people of Socotra in various circumstances and occasions.

وتركت هذه الخطوة الإنسانية ارتياحاً شعبياً في الجزيرة، حيث ثمن أبناء سقطرى مواقف الأشقاء بدولة الإمارات الدائم تجاه ابناء الجزيرة في مختلف الظروف والمناسبات كما هو الحال في هذه الحاله الصعبة المتمثلة بإنقاذ حياة ناس من وضع صحي خطير.
